Some links on this site earn us a commission if you buy through them. That is one of the ways the site is paid for. It does not decide what we recommend, and it never changes the price you pay.
Which programmes we take part in
Wild Animals Central is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to give sites a way to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites. Amazon links on this site carry our associate tag, so a qualifying purchase credits a commission to us.
We may also join other affiliate programmes for products such as binoculars, trail cameras, traps and exclusion materials, and the same rules below apply to all of them. Where a page contains affiliate links, it says so on the page, in addition to this disclosure.
How we decide what to include
- We research the category from manufacturer specifications, published reviews, university extension and state agency material, and the feedback readers send us.
- We describe what a product is for, what it will not do, and the situations where a different method is the honest answer.
- A commission is never a reason to include a product, and a product we judge unsafe or unfit for the task is not listed even if it pays well.
- You are never pushed to buy. Links go to the retailer; the price and availability you see there are the retailer’s, and they may change.
Prices and availability shown in our lists are checked when we write or update the page, and can change without notice. Always confirm the current price and the warranty terms on the retailer’s site.
What we do not do
- We do not sell a placement inside a buying guide, and we do not let an advertiser write or approve our text.
- We do not accept payment to give a product a better verdict.
- We do not receive your name, address, payment details or order contents from a retailer. We see aggregate reports only.
Advertising, separately
Display advertising, when present, is labelled. It is paid placement, unlike an affiliate link, and we do not claim to have evaluated what it promotes. The same applies to a sponsored listing in the operator directory: a featured listing is always labelled on the card and on the profile, and it does not change the verification standard or the order of the unsponsored results.
